Seacor Power Lift Boat Capsizes in the Gulf of Mexico: 2 Reported Fatalities, 11 Missing Maritime Workers

On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, the Seacor Power lift boat capsized in the Gulf of Mexico off of Louisian’s coast. The vessel was manned with 19 workers when it left Port Fourchon at 1:30 PM on Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, the Coast Guard received a distress call from a good Samaritan at approximately 4:28PM.

 

Six members of the work crew have been rescued. However, as of the time of this blog entry, 2 fatalities have already been reported. The Coast Guard continues to search for the remaining 11 crew members.
